This project requires a high level of knowledge in both VB6 and VB.NET (2005). I have a large VB6 project (approximately 45 forms and 18 modules). The project is currently under development, but the decision was made to continue development in VB 2005. I currently have a working version of the VB6 application, and the goal of this project is to convert it over to VB 2005, just so that it can compile and run. Challenges may include the heavy use of control arrays, 1-based Type arrays, late-bound MS-Word automation, among other things. I ran through the upgrade wizard "just to see what would happen", but as I expected, the number of items that need attention is quite large. If I could get a working version of this in VB2005, that would give me a good starting point so that I can continue development (I am an old-school VB6 programmer currently on the .NET learning curve). When bidding, please indicate your level of expertise in both VB6 and VB.NET (2005). I will provide the code and other details once the project has been awarded. Thank you.

Hello to all, and thank you for your bids. As I expected, I have received many bids from various parts of the world, most of you having the appropriate level of expertise, and bid values ranging from very low to very high. Some of you have requested responses to your bids and comments, so let me address where I am at with this. In all honesty, I am still deciding what I want to do here. Since I have posted this project, I have done further work on it myself and my inclination is to see if I can get to the point where it will compile without error; if I can accomplish that, then I will have a good starting point. I am going to give myself a couple of days to try this out. What I would ask is that do not "wait on me" if you have other opportunities that you are pursuing. Although I do not like to cancel a project I have posted and that is not my normal mode of operation, I am considering that possibility for this project, depending on how far I get on my own. So again thank you all, and I will be deciding on a direction over the next several days.
