All these aspects are further to be attenuated accordingly with what more specifics of the requested you clarify further.

Hi James, The approach to this problem is a very simple one. To get the desired HTML table from Grid1_Src1, it requires a SELECT statement with ordering by subject, year and semester. Then a 3D array will be created for entering the grade results from the results. The default value will be null (empty) since there is no guarantee that all subject, year and semester combinations will exist (although in your particular data it appears that they do). Then three loops will be used in the array for drawing up the HTML table neatly and giving each cell a class (empty or non-empty) for potential CSS styling later on. Also, another question I must ask is, is the GPA used as a way of correctly ordering the grades from A+ (the highest grade) to the lowest grade? Looking at your SQL code, I notice that there are many repetitions which should appear in its own table (this is learnt from experience). For example, the first name, last name and student code aren't needed in the Grid1_Src1 table since the student can be found in another table by joining the two tables by cPeople_ID. The same applies to the GPA if the same GPA is always used with the same grade. This exercise will only take about two hours to complete. The redundant information doesn't need separating out in this exercise but is something to think about later on. I await for your reply. Richard Valvona

Very good expertise in web technologies, but new to freelancer. Can finish this project efficiently. My suggestion in this would be, In data grid, students can be listed (if more than a student). Below that a sub grid can be drilled down to show the subject wise with each semester marks as in the xls you provided if subject doesn't differed for each semester. If subject differs for each semester, I would suggest sub grid should be semester wise. i.e Semester at left column wise and marks with subject in top row wise.
