Specification for eBay type auction website: ¨ The bidders will use their credit card to purchase credits online. ¨ For every used bid in an auction there will be a credit deduction from the users account. No commission will be applied. ¨ Users will be able to bid on any items such as consumer electronics, computers and accessories, household equipment, furniture, cars, properties and basically any item that people wish to sell. ¨ The online auction portal should be promoted in the Cypriot companies which will utilize it either to sell old stock or equipment they no longer need. ¨ The portal should also feature a social meeting (relationships) section where people could post that they are looking to meet other people. ¨ While in the bidding process, bidders will have the option to stop bidding and apply their already bid credits to purchase the item at normal price (Buy it Now). They will only have to pay for the difference. This functionality will be provided only for items that our customer and its associates could provide. ¨ Automatic bidding functionality which will allow users to bid even when they are not online HOW? ¨ Online live support which will add confidence to the users ¨ Advanced notification system – registered users will be able to select in which auction categories are mostly interested (e.g. electronics and computers) and they will be receiving automatic notifications every time a new item from within these categories is on auction. ¨ The portal will have to be in one language because sellers will not be willing to translate to other languages. The amount of free credits a user get will be calculated as a percentage (e.g 5%) on the number of credit he has in his account. For example, if a user has 1000 credits he will collect 50 credits, however, these free credits will have 24 hour expiration limit. Bidders will place their bids by pressing the BID button. At any given time the last bidder will be shown. The current auction price will clearly appear on the screen with big numbers. The user with the highest bid when the time reaches zero will win the auction and get the product at this price. Next to the price, users will see the in big numbers the time counting down towards auction closing. Once the auction time is up, the bidders will have 20 seconds to add their bid. The last person to bid with the higher price will be the winner of that auction. As soon as an auction has ended, the winner will be able to talk to the seller and arrange for the transaction to take place. The company will not be held liable for the transaction process.
