Help with Nginx-memcache in AWS environment (Django app)

Website:

3 amazon m1 instances: 1 for production, 1 staging, 1 for database.

- app: django

- database: postgresql

- webserver: nginx

- caching: memcache

Intention to fine-tune Nginx webserver, since we are having lots of bot requests that compromise the performance of the app and sometimes make it timeout. We didn't experience such an stron crawler behavior before.

Opportunity to fine tune Nginx configuration to acomodate not only the current traffic, but make safe room for peaks of requests.
