VB6 Legacy Manifest File for Vista(repost)

I have several VB6? applications which I need to install and run in several OSs, including Vista.? In Vista, I need to ensure the user is prompted with the User Account Control popup to request Administrator Privledges.? I'm under the impression this can be done with an external manifest file.? However, I have not been able to get this to work.

I need a programmer to demonstrate how this can be done, with an internal or external manifest file.? The presence of this file should not prevent the application from running in other OSs, like XP, 2000, Win98, etc.

I've learned that VB6 only allows 1 manifest file.? However, my existing projects have certain Project Properties I want to maintain.? I'm under the impression that these properties are contained in an internal? "manifest" which VB6 creates when compiled.? Therefore, I don't know if I need to combine these specs with the Account Control manifest, or if you have some other suggestion.

What I would expect is an example of this file, and instructions as how to incorporate this into (or link to) a VB6 project or the final MyApp.exe.?

I think this would be quite similar to project 1122974.
