Sports Pool in PERL or PHP

Program: Web Based Sports Pool for [url removed, login to view] Description By bobe@[url removed, login to view] Web connected Server ,OS/FreeBSD (or Linux if you must) , Code written in PHP or Perl. Database MySQL. No Java allowed as many interested in sports use old WebTV based boxes to access the web. I find Java and Java Script still mess many of these up. A bummer fact of life. This is a basic Web Sports Pool program. I created a written spec with a great deal of detail to help answer any questions and explain the slight twists…such as player points and ability for a player to revisit and make a selection change prior to a game starting. Need this programmer to be available for future modifications and desired upgrades. I need "Tons of description Notation within the code". As it is predicted that this will be a popular feature on one of the most popular Sports Sites on the net [url removed, login to view] . During super bowl this site serves up 2-3 million html pages. Yet, it is still run by the original owner (me) as a hobby in his spare time. Often times the site is down, yet I seem to be able to build up the hits again. It is planned to break out with advertising and new expanded features such as this one….someday , this is the start of that process.

## Platform

Unix FreeBSD (or Linux if you must.) Written in PERL or PHP. Web server is Apache. Database MySQL server. Installation required...but may not be needed to install it, if you provide enough detailed intallation documentation. Installation Docs are required that will bring it up and make it operable...You can have access to a server to make it operate and fine tune the install instructions together with me if need be.

## Deadline information

Any security help/suggestions to implement to prevent users from hacking/forcing picks entries after sport game events ended. And any implementation of libraries/etc which will help prevent net users from grabbing player login data. Choosen programmer will have access to me via Yahoo instant messenger when I am on line (which is very often).
