This project is to create a small customized image generator.
Here are the requirements:
I need a desktop program to place on a server that can basically run by reading a file name that will state the image file name it needs to read and the file name it needs
to generate.
The following is the criteria of the program:
- It should be a stand alone program
- Once the program loads, we will have to input a folder location of the images that needs to be read:
there will 3 formats of the name that can be read: 1. txt, 2. csv, or 3, access database(mdb).
The input database file name location should also be allowed to enter eg: c:\work\stuff\[login to view URL] or c:\work\stuff\[login to view URL]
There can be 1, 2, 3, or 4 groups of images created by reading the access database column.
Each group of images will be of different sizes which should be allowed to enter via the desktop application as long as the image is proportionate
All 4 groups are not required to be created so the user should be asked to check each group individually if he wants the group to be generated.
The name of these images will be taken from the access database, but the different sizes of these images will have filenames with an alphanumeric text that will be asked to enter infront of each size.
Another location will also need to be entered for the location of the files that get generated: ex: c:\work\newlocation\[login to view URL] (-2t will be added within the program next to a specific file size so all images for that size when generated have a -2t at the end of the filename.
Please make sure that once images are generated, and the program runs again with the entire list of images, it doesn't need to regenerate images if there's nothing changed on them at all.
Hope I'm clear. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Nick
