432003 Percentile calculator for children - linear regression calc.

Hello

I am a pediatrician and I am starting a website to calculate percentiles for children growth based on user input for age, weight, height, etc.

I have a set of statistical data as basis for the calculations.

However the data I have are from medical journal publications and not the raw measurement data.

This means the data are already percentile values and that the calculator has to estimate the exact percentile for the user input by calculating it using linear regression and interpolation.

The website front end is already finished (html,css) so only the backend calculator is needed.

The MATH is the main work here on this project, not the programming!

The website must be in php/mysql

The concept file should explain almost everything, please read it.

One note: The best way to approach the linear regression calculations would be to use a statistical calculations module for php.

Terms of the Contract:

• It is from the at most importance that you really understand the math that is needed here.

• I am no mathematician so I can't help you with the final math. The math is exactly what your job here is. This is what I'll pay you for. If the math on page 3 makes no sense to you PLEASE don't apply for the job. If this is easy for you as 1,2,3 then you are my man! Make your bid!

• This website will be used by medical physicians so the accuracy of the calculations is of great importance

• A working calculator demo is needed based on the data provided in this concept for me to see that you understand the math necessary and calculations are correct

• After a working calculator demo is tested and accepted by me you'll get the job and first milestone payment

• I will send you the Excel Sheet with all statistical data for which the calculator needs to do calculations. These contain:

For preterm infants and newborns: weight, length, head circumference, length related birth weight (2 sets one for girls one for boys each)

For children (0-18years): weight, height, head circumference, Body-Mass-Index (2 sets one for girls one for boys each)

• The final Program must use html templates for input and output that I can edit to change layout of the website including a variable for each calculated output (see output example page 2)

• For the end product I will provide you the html, css and images for the website to integrate them into your program

• You must provide a demo environment running the final product for me to fully test functionality. If you need webspace this can be provided.

• After completion of the work and the end product is accepted by me final payment will be made

• I will receive the final product including an installation script or an SQL dump and a config file for all necessary settings

• Two weeks of support for possible bug fixing and minor changes that arise after installation are included in the project price.

• I get exclusive rights for the product. You are not allowed to sell this product to any other buyer.
