I'm trying to get NagiosQL working on CentOS 6 in order to make Nagios Core easier to manage. I am able to get Nagios Core installed along with LAMP and NagiosQL. The problem i'm having is getting NagiosQL config files to work properly with Nagios Core. I've attached the guide on how I was able to get to the point where i'm stuck, the guide only assumes you have CentOS 6 installed but covers the rest.
I cannot figure out where i'm going wrong, when I change the [url removed, login to view] file i'm unable to restart Nagios service. Also under Nagios control in NagiosQL the buttons (do it) for the config files and restart Nagios do not work. I get a nagios daemon is not running, cannot send restart command! and Cannot find the Nagios binary or no execute permissions error.
The end result of this project will be a details step by step guide in English to get NagiosQL up and running on CentOS 6. You may use my guide to get it installed unless you're able to also improve on that. I will likely have additional projects on configuring Nagios etc.
Once complete I will be making a video and putting the document online for others to benefit from these great tools, you're welcome to do the same.
With the work I've completed to get everything setup this shouldn't take long for a knowledgeable Linux programmer to figure out.
