**Search and Replace for content editor webparts**

**End Goal:**

I would like to have a working and tested piece code using .net framework 1.1 that would search for a given occurrence of a string inside _all_ content editor webparts on a Sharepoint site and subsites and replace all occurrences with another given string.

**Approach:**

The application should be **a windows Application**.

The application is to use Sharepoint Object Model or Sharepoint Web Services

The application should work with Sharepoint Portal 2003.

The application will have a form that will contain **the following input fields**

Sitename: the site to be searched.

Find string: the string the needs to be found in the content editor webparts under the site

Replace string: the string to replace the matching found string.

On pressing the **“Find**?? Button the program will return a count of how many matching occurrences it found of that string.

On pressing the “**Replace??** button the program will replace all matching strings with the replacement string

**Important!**

Its is very important that the code you send in be tested and fully working before you submit it.

You will need the following environments:

Active Directory

Sharepoint 2003 (WSS)

.Net Environment

If you don’t have any of the above or cannot set them up please do not bid on this project.

**Your job is to**

Let me know which approach you decide to take: Sharepoint Object Model or Sharepoint Web Services when writing the code.

Write the code needed to achieve the end goal mentioned above.

Test the code make sure it works on your environment

Package the code in a Visual Studio Solution (.sln file) and submit it

Provide some help in having me setup the environment here to run the code.
