I have written a download manager in php/mysql that works with Paypal IPN. It is fully functional but need one last set of testing and tweaks.
The download manager works like this:
Admin:
1. You upload downloadable files to your website using some FTP program.
2. You use the download manager to build packages. A package can have one or more files associated with it. You set some parameters about when the downloads expire.
3. You can set an option of auto approval or manual approval for orders. Manual approval requires you to log in and approve orders before someone can download.
4. There are some basic reports that need more work. Need to be able to search for existing transactions and see all the info, etc.
Orders:
When some orders a product via Paypal the productID must match the productID in the download manager and if they match the system checks to see if the customer already exists and if they are extending an existing download record. If they don't match then a customer record is created and a download record is created.
Customers:
Customers log in, reset password, retrieve password, etc.
They then can download the file or files associated with the package they purchased.
The product is not live but I have tested it. Everything seems to work, just need you to go over it and finish the reporting and make sure everything is working properly. I think I changed a few field names so some pages don't load so you need to update the php scripts. I used Dreamweaver Server Extensions to add the database functionality (except for the paypal ipn which I hand coded).
If you know Paypal IPN then you should be able to do this project quickly.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
