Hi,
I require a software program for Windows XP and Vista (earlier versions would also be a bonus). It will allow the user to create a file on their hard disk either at a fixed size or dynamic (with a hard limit). That file will then be mounted on the system as a drive, accessible just like any other drive on the system to store and retrieve files.
When the user has finished with the virtual drive, an unmount option should be available that will then remove the drive letter from the system so the virtual drive cannot be accessed until it is re-mounted.
The drive should be encrypted (a list of algorithms should be presented to the user when they first create the virtual drive) and it should be optionally password protected. The user should be given a choice of which drive letter to allocate, as well as choose a custom icon for the drive as it appears in My Computer/Windows Explorer. The virtual drive should emulate all aspects of a real drive, such as the ability to customise the volume label and share the drive across a network.
There is no need to get too involved with the UI as this will be taken care of in-house.

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Windows XP and Vista are absolutely essential. Other versions of Windows would be a bonus.
