We need a bookmarklet created for our online career management tool.
[login to view URL]
The idea behind this bookmarklet is that a user can be browsing the internet when they come across a job posting, on a website e.g.
[login to view URL]
and then they can use the bookmarklet to save some of the information from this page (and the url) to our website ([login to view URL]). A simple service will be provided from the YJL site that allows you to post the information.
Here is a very rough list of requirements, a more detailed requirements document will follow;
* Chrome & Firefox (to start with)
* A user will need to be authenticated with the YJL site, so that they can upload information to their private job list.
* The basic version will simply post the URL of the page the user is looking at and the date (and obviously user details), but also provide some text input fields to allow a user to add extra information, such as 'job title'.
* Include the YJL icon
* Full access to source code
* Just a basic 'add job' button
* A couple of free text fields so that you can send the website extra info (e.g job name/id)
* Clear, simple, efficient and well documented code.
* Deployment assistance - payment will be made upon successful installation of the bookmarklets, not just the handover of the code.
What would be very cool, is if we could strip/scrape job related info from the web page, e.g. search for job title/description and send those fields over. If anyone has any ideas on how they could do that, we'd love to hear from them.
You should model the design loosely off either the getpocket or [login to view URL] implementation.
