I have a collection of 5 perl scripts that pre-process and generate text based on specific rules. I would like to have these running on a win pc or under cygwin. I have all the scripts and supporting files including documentation on how they are supposed to run in any perl environment - but don't currently. If you can get them all to run according to the supplied documentation and explain to me HOW to run them from the command line in windows then I will pay you for your services if you can supply demos proving that each script runs properly. Right now only 1 script is running under active state win32 perl. Just so you know. I've posted this before and a coder said he could do it but I ended up getting a refund because he couldn't deliver. Let's not do that again, okay? Thanks for your interest and I look forward to working with you. ## Deliverables Hello: I will pay the full amount of your bid based on these deliverables from the README.txt. All required files should be in the zip archive. Please read the NOTE under each main script that explains if it currently works in Perl win32 or if changes are needed in the main script, supplemental scripts, and/or if supporting programs need to be compiled. Each script is required to run with the same 100% compatibility as number 2 "[login to view URL]" These are the main scripts involved: 1. [login to view URL] This is a wrapper script that will do everything needed to make the grammar. To run this, the source text (corpus) must first be converted to a newline-separated list of sentences and placed in its own directory. The directory name should be the name of the corpus, and the sentences should be in a file there called corpus_name_sentences. For example, if I had a corpus called foo, I would make a directory called foo, and put the sentences in a file called foo/foo_sentences. Then, "./[login to view URL] foo" would do everything needed. This process will probably take on the order of a few hours or longer, depending on the length and complexity of the corpus. NOTE: Requires the compiled Charniak parser - parseIT.c - as per the [login to view URL] 2. [login to view URL] This is the script that reads in a context-free grammar from a file and generates a random sentence. It starts with symbol "S1" by default (which can be changed). The basic arguments are cfg_file num_sentences, run it with no parameters for more usage information (this works for all of these scripts, incidentally). NOTE: This script works 100% in Perl win32 using the supplied cfg files eg. homer_cfg etc. I want to create additional cfg files so it's important scripts 1,3, and 4 function like this !!! 3. [login to view URL] This script can also be used to generate sentences, but it incrementally generates them and compares candidate word sequences to a language model. This is much slower than just using cfgGen, but the results are slightly better. NOTE: Requires the compiled CMU toolkit as per the [login to view URL] 4. [login to view URL] This script takes two sources, merges them together into a single corpus, and extracts a CFG that tends to use sentence structure from the first corpus and words from the second. Simply give it the two existing sources as arguments (and wait). NOTE: Have tried running this script as per instructions using supplied cfg files but it generates error messages, including files not found. Perhaps the syntax in the main and supporting script needs to be changed to run properly under Perl win32? 5. [login to view URL] This script (in the ./lm subdirectory) takes care of using the CMU-Cambridge toolkit to build a language model. This takes the width (n) of the n-grams as the first argument, followed by a list of files to be used as a corpus. These should be all of the source files used to generate the CFGs you are using. It only needs to be run once to build the model, or whenever you wish to update it. NOTE: Requires compiled CMU toolkit as per the [login to view URL] Again, on acceptance of all deliverables and proof of 100% functionality you will receive full payment. It's essential that all scripts run with 100% compatibility in win32 Perl* as number 2 "[login to view URL]" above. PLEASE CONFIRM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE that you can provide all the above deliverables. A demo of script 1 "[login to view URL]" with compiled parser is preferred. * I will accept a live Linux or cygwin compiled version BUT you must include clear instructions on how to run these versions and perl scripts on a win 32 pc. cheers,
