Hi, I have a project where some data has been exported to a .SIM file from an Energy Modeling program. I need to have the .SIM file parsed and *some* of that data exported in a format that can easily be imported to a MySQL database table. I have sample .SIM files, an Excel spreadsheet with a macro that currently parses the .SIM file to populate cells in itself, and a macro to pull just the data needed that was started that doesn't work. I need an Excel macro expert to get this working.
The attached .zip file has the sample data - a couple of the folders contain .SIM files (use the Proposed Baseline Design files). I also attached a zipped Excel file (ES Database Template) that is the one that currently parses .SIM files to populate some of it's cells.. And lastly, I have attached a .txt file that is a first attempt at a standalone macro that parses the .SIM file for the data needed and exports. The .txt macro does not currently work, but starting at line 500 you can see the data that needs to be extracted. The client uses only Windows computers, so the macro has to work in Windows.

I have completed similar projects at the past. But it is not easy to pull data from the SIM files, because the file has several sections, and I need to get through step by step how to make it. So it is not let me say -that- easy.
Of course it is doable. But I just cannot decrease the price.
