Android App to interface with WiFi device

Need a simple android app which will interface with a WiFi device and display the information provided by the device.
Communications with the device will happen over TCP and UDP.
The app should query the device for data and also receive periodic updates from the device.
The data will be Energy parameters, Alarm flags.
