Research prices for small trucking businesses.

I am starting a trucking company in New Jersey tristate area. I have no idea how much to charge for my services since in the trucking industry each trucking job gets a custom quote. I am looking for someone to do market research & reach out to as many smaller trucking companies as possible & ask for multiple different shipping quotes. I would then want it all filled into a pre made excel sheet so I can view it & get a good feel on what I can charge for my services. I did do some research & when reaching out to a few companies it seems like every trucking job gets a custom quote and there’s no exact formula this is why I want someone to spend time & do a lot of research in this field so I can know how to price my services properly. To my understanding the following are some stuff that may help determine the price. -How many pallets your are shipping. -If you need same day or next day. -How far you are shipping stuff. -How heavy are the stuff being shipped. -If you need a lift gate & it to be loaded. This job can take over a few days & has a few parts though it can all be done at once. 1- Getting onto google & putting together a large list of trucking companies in the New Jersey tristate area. 2- Messaging them all about different imaginary trucking quotes & going back and forth with them in a professional manner till we have all the information needed. 3-Entering all your market research into a clear spreadsheet so I can get a clear picture of the market. I would want you to ask every company if they have a rate sheet since some have that and that would be best way of knowing there prices though most don’t have and give a custom quote for each job. I would want you to ask each company for a quote on the same imaginary shipping job & converse with each company asking specific questions like what if I do next day? What if I ad more pallets? What if I need it loaded?.... This job can be done all over the computer but may require calling some companies since some trucking companies will only respond via phone. To qualify for this job you will have to know how to do research online and be able to pull up tens of smaller & larger local trucking companies. Then have great communication skills to email/msg/call each company and know how to get quotes for our imaginary trucking jobs we will be researching.... each company will respond differently & you will have to have great communication/market research/hands on skills to professionally respond to each company till we have all information we need from them. You will need to Know how to clearly put down all this information onto a spreadsheet & send me the full report on all the research done.
