Fine tune a newbie's Google Analytics and SEO

Looking for someone to fine tune a newbie's job of setting up a website's Google Analytics and SEO.
I built my wordpress site myself and thought I could figure out these pieces too, but its proving to be more difficult than I thought. Here's what I'd like some help with.
-Set up my google analytics. I have the account set up and I thought I set up the tracking code correctly, but it doesn't seem to work. I'd like someone to get it set up properly and then tell me what they did to fix it.
- I though I set up google webmaster tools correctly but I'm not sure and it doesn't look like I'm getting any results. Either its incorrect, or its working properly and I need to temper my expectations. I'd like someone to review it and fix it if its broken and then tell me what they did to fix it.
- Finally, I'd like someone to review the way I've been using Yoast SEO on my site and tell me if I'm using it correctly and way's to improve. I'd like to rank for posts and pictures.
One of the things I'd like to get out of this is not just the work done itself, but I'd like to learn how it was done. So I'd like rather thorough descriptions.
