WP: Add background img to site that is seen while the background youtube video preloads

I have a wordpress site with a new template

The site has a header section with a background video playing. The youtube video in the background takes about 2-3 seconds to load, and during this time the background is black. Instead, I would like to have an image there that can be seen while the video loads (similar to [login to view URL])
