Java web developer (JSP & applet)

I need at 2 developers to work for 2 weeks and build the following: 1 - A form that is running on a JSP page and submits data to the server (more info below). 2 - A Java applet that will be hosted inside the above form and will be used to poll the server, get data and send it to a thermal printer (using jzebra). More info: 1 - JSP form: We need to build a large form, which will be embedded in an existing system (OTM). The form will collect information from the user, based on rules specified in a supplied specification document (Word 2013). The document is in English and the developer is expected to follow the document and understand it. The form is half ready at the moment in JSP. You will need to complete the build in JSP/Servlets. The design is very basic and it's already built - you may need to change some small things, but it's pretty much ready. The work that's left to do includes: - validations (client & server side) - some of the JS for showing/hiding/updating controls based on the user's selection. - when the form submitted then to collect all data and create an XML with it. The spec has clear instructions on this - insert this XML to the DB using a stored procedure (this is already done). Store the response reference number in a table (this isn't done). - the ability to load submitted data to the form (like 'edit' mode) and update existing data. All queries for reading the data are supplied in the spec. - one additional form, much smaller, which precedes the above form. The form is expected to be supported by IE8+ and modern browsers (FF/Chrome). We will need to complete a basic form in 2 days and then we will have another 8 days to complete the form. Java applet + servlet: This applet will be hosted inside the above form. The applet will be loaded in an HTML page and will be running in the background as the user works on an HTML form for entering order details. The applet will communicate with the servlet in order to get server information and process it. The applet's jobs are: - Query a server via HTTP about orders that are ready for print. - Get order details and pass it to Zebra thermal printer for printing*. The servlet's jobs are: - accept queries from the applet, check for data in the DB (Oracle) and response with relevant results * Zebra printers - this is a thermal printer for printing stickers/labels/barcodes/etc. In order to communicate with the printer we will use the printer path (a variable we get from the server) and we will send to it raw commands. For sending raw commands we will use jZebra - a common library, exactly for this purpose. For Zebra we use what's called ZPL (Zebra Printer Language). For development we will use ZPL viewer to see how our raw commands are translated to a printout: [login to view URL] We will need to set the infrastructure for additional printers. This means we will need to use factory pattern for the objects that generate the ZPLs in order to allow for an extensible framework. I have a spec written in English - you will need to work according to this spec so English is a must.
