LPG SMART METER (VALVES)

We want to develop an LPG canisters and meters equipped with M2M technology that will enable medium and low-income households to switch from dirty and expensive charcoal to clean LPG. The main reason people are still using charcoal instead of LPG is the high upfront cost associated with it. We want to eliminate those upfront costs and allow people to pre-pay for the quantity of gas that fit their budget, improving greatly their economy and their family health. The household pays for the service using mobile money for certain quantity and their meter automatically stops the gas flow when the credit or the gases in the cylinder are depleted. How it is suppose to work Households sign up and are provided with a full tank of LPG. Gas flow from the cylinder is controlled by the company’s SIM/GPS Smart Gas valve and to activate the supply of gas, customers need to purchase credits with mobile money. Before their credit runs out, the system notifies the customer so that they can top up again, and are not left without gas in the middle of cooking a meal. The digital meter with an embedded machine-to-machine SIM measures and transmits consumption in real-time to the cloud where based on analysis and projections, just in time dispatch can be done when running low, with delivery routes optimized since the location of each unit is also known. What it should consist of The smart metering device should consist of a GSM communications unit, a gas measurement system, and a shut-off valve, all of which are bundled into explosion-proof casing.
