Data warehouse ETL Architecture and Design

Fetching the data from multidimensional cube, tabular cubes with the help of MDX queries and creating SSRS reports. I have more than 6 years experience in developing and designing DWH and ETL solutions. I am mostly oriented on ETL, process design/development/performance. Developing templates and best-practice recommendations for ETL design and development. How should SCD(1/2) be handled to get the most performance, how should fact tables be loaded. How to speed it all up. What (maybe unnatural) small tweaks on tables (additional columns, partitions, indexes), in process (splitting or joining something, doing in multiple stages) can be done to speed the process, make it more robust, make it more development/maintenance friendly.
