Okay Guys & Girls,
So I have a number of windows printer spool files .SPL which I assume are in the windows emf format.
What I need is one of you to write me a c# class which can take a [url removed, login to view] file in and return ALL the text from the emf.
To do this you will need to understand MS-EMFSPOOL (I've attached a pdf)
You will also need to understand encoding
Where to start - there is a profile on CodeProject - [url removed, login to view]
Which shows how to get the EMF from the file - all you need to do is figure out how to get the text from the EMF
You might be able to do it using EnumerateMetafile?? and reading EmfExtTextOutW & EmfSmallTextOut
Have a look at the attached .spl and the associated .png file to see what EMF looks inlike inside the SPL file - the ascii text output should have all the text fields.
