I HAVE A WMA FILE THAT IS FROM A RECORDING THAT IS DIFFICULT TO HEAR, SPEAKER IS A ROOM AWAY. I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO CAREFULLY LISTEN TO THIS TAPE AND TRANSCRIBE WHAT IS HEARD, PLUS INTERPRET ANYTHING ELSE FROM THE RECORDING. THE RECORDING IS ONLY 35 MINUTES LONG WITH ONLY 10 MINUTES OF REALLY LIVE, SIGNIFICANT SPEECH. THE RECORDING HAS A LOUD HISS. I CAN SEND YOU THE RAW RECORDING OR ONE THAT HAS BEEN IMPROVED BY A SOUND EDITOR. I HAVE TRANSCRIBED ABOUT 90% OF THE WORDS, BUT IT TOOK A WHILE. A TWENTY SOMETHING ASSOCIATE LISTENED TO A SECTION FOR ME AND HEARD MUCH MORE THAN ME. SOMEONE WITH YOUNG EARS MAY FIND THIS DOABLE. I SIMPLY NEED SOME CORROBORATION OF WHAT IS ON TAPE FOR PERSONAL REASONS. I HAVE ATTACHED AN OUT-TAKES VERSION WHICH YOU CAN USE TO TEST YOURSELF. I HAVE VERY LITTLE BUDGET FOR THIS, BUT IT IS A CHALLENGE THAT SHOULD BE GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN AUDIO FORENSICS.
I WILL UPLOAD THE FILE VIA FREELANCER. I WOULD LIKE A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF THE WORDS TRANSCRIBED PLUS AN INTERPRETATION OF ANY OTHER SOUNDS.

All, I have attached the raw file (crop144snipraw.wma) for the snippets section of the recording. I have done this because, some had wanted to do their own noise reduction etc. By my reckoning, the cleaned up file works but more power to you if you want to clean up the file yourself. Also, it seems that this challenge is pretty significant so I need to give you all a clue. There is only one woman - on the phone. There is one section where you can hear "Oh yeah, say that." tell me the time stamp if you can find it. Thanks for your effort. GWFAN
