Audio Editing software Open Source Audacity add a feature

The open source audio editor Audacity has all the source codes in VS2008. I need a coder to use that source codes to add a custom function. The kind of function I would like to add is like this: background of requirement: I have my own video recording/audio recording/image capture program which does all 3 things simultaneously. So after a successful recording, there are: 1. video file (this is not used in this job) 2. audio recording (in either .wav or .mp3) 3. image capture (1 image per secord, 3600 images per hour, 28,800 images per 8 hours). This functionality I want is to allow user to inspect the audio recording file along with the vast number of image files together. Here is the scenario: When user plays this Modified-Audacity program, he/she will not only hear the audio being played, he/she will also see the images being displayed somewhere on the screen. Preferably those images are superimposed on audacity display as a vague opaque image (it changes every second since there is one image per second). User should be able to easily adjust the opacity of the superimposed image. Actually any simpler audio editing software will do too. By the way, 1 image per second is an example of what my recording program typically does. But it can also generate much less images (such as 1 image per 6 seconds). This new program that I want to be done needs to be flexible in handling the images, no matter it is 1 image per second or 1 images per minute or anything in between.
