Convert Wordpress Template to Magento

There is a Wordpress template my client really likes, but they are using Magento as a platform and that cannot change. I need someone to look at the following template (we will provide the Wordpress files) and see if it's possible to convert to Magento.
Here is the theme on Theme Forest:

Specifically what we are looking for in porting over to Magento:
1) We would like the homepage to feature new products in the grid-type view that is seen in this layout.
2) The "Show Filters / Hide Filters" link would be replaced by Shop. If the shop categories could fold out like they do there on the homepage only, that would be good. Clicking on one of those categories would bring you to that shop page.
3) Once on the shop page, a static listing of shop products on the left (per standard Magento implementation) is fine. Now the "Show Filters / Hide Filters" would fold out the Layered Navigation (where you can sort by price/materials/color, etc.)
4) When the items in #3 are clicked, the page would do an AJAX refresh of products without reloading the page. Any click of shop categories would refresh the page to that shop page.
