Australian Livestock Management - Summary Design Brief
Task
Create a simple yet effective logo for a new business, Australian Livestock Management (ALM). The general nature of the ALM is in the areas of the provision of training and education services to the Australian and International livestock industries, focusing mainly on livestock management, health and welfare together with occupational health and safety as it concerns the management of livestock. ALM will concentrate on sectors within the industry that manage livestock on a day to day occurrence such as farmers, auction sellers, transporters, abattoir workers and associated industries. Livestock for ALM is cattle (beef and dairy), sheep, goats, pigs and horses. ALM is a quintessential Australian company that will be expanding its operation within a traditional Australian industry as well as abroad.
Specific Elements
• Masterbrand logo design: fully written (Australian Livestock Management) and abbreviated versions (ALM).
• Masterbrand/sub brand design approach is needed, as these brands will be used online as well as in presentations, media and stationary
• Overall graphics as applied to basic stationary and materials: letterhead, PowerPoint, publications, banners.
• Overall brochure cover approach for use in member centred communications to industry stakeholders
• Consider corporate tag lines such as “Managing Livestock, Mentoring People”.

• Incorporate “Australiana” into the brand if possible whilst acknowledging that it will be also targeted to international customers
• Keep colours simple and basic, Blue, Green and Yellow a must (this links it with its parent company) and perhaps the Australian theme, including reds, whites or blues
