Consultation on Video Optimization Techniques

We are looking for consultation with an expert freelancer who can advise us on technical considerations involved with the optimal encoding of videos for viewing around the world.

Specifically, we want to establish open communications with a freelancer so we can ask questions that will allow us to re-work our videos locally.

Questions will include:

- Understanding how we would select MP4 parameters for our given situation

- Understanding the factors that may be involved with the distribution of the videos (network, etc)

Details

- We are located in Los Angeles, California, United States

- Our hours of availability are between 8:00AM and 4:00PM PST

- We will need assistance during these times.

- Communications will take place via Freelancer messaging. Times can be coordinated (our mornings, afternoons)

- Our videos are MP4s. They play well within the United States, but they play poorly in Australia. Bandwidth and ping rate are factors.

Goal

We would like to identify a single set of optimal MP4 encoding parameters for our videos. All questions will be directed towards working to identify these parameters and to understand their roles.
