You probably need to "clean up" the server. Is probably many things installed that are not needed. There are other things that can be done to help wordpress, but the main problem is godaddy's load. I just did a server at godaddy about a month ago, only to pull it and move it to another server somewhere else because godaddy was not a good place for the kind of dedicated hosting that we needed.

Hello: I have been programming in PHP for 15 years and working with Wordpress for 5 years now. I have been doing Linux server administration for over 20 years. I am new to Freelancer but I'm not new to Wordpress or PHP. I run my own business and understand how important it is to have the work done on time and correctly. There is no initial server optimization that needs to be done. There are many things that could be causing the bottle neck, it could be one of the Wordpress plugins or something that is going on in the database. I will troubleshoot the problem and fix it if possible. If it is a plugin that is causing the problem I will suggest a replacement strategy or modify the existing plugin if necessary.
