Automated USB download software

Issue: We’re dealing with the contents of 10-20 USB sticks on a daily basis. Managing the contents and ensuring no data loss have proven difficult. Sticks are passed through many employees and often times sticks get lost or contents of the stick are lost. We need an automated solution that copies and stores USB contents. Objective: Employee with a dedicated USB stick(s) plugs into a central PC and the contents on the stick are automatically mirrored onto a specified drive. Once the copy is complete, a check would be run and if the USB contents match the copied contents, the USB contents would be deleted. Basically we want our field crews to come into the office at the end of the day, plug in their USB sticks containing videos and .pdf reports to be automatically transferred to our `central folder` then be notified by an onscreen alert when they are safe to remove the USB stick. Details: - Program must run on a Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8. - Program must NOT require any config, ini, etc files on the USB stick - Program should be able to take the contents of “Stick x” and place those contents in a specified location, with a parent folder that has the current date. - GUI is not a necessity but some form of confirmation for the user to know when the transfer is complete would be nice. A countdown timer of some sort (or progress bar) would also be beneficial - We should be able to purchase and add any USB stick into the rotation without configuration (simply add a unique label) - The only sticks that will use this system are ones that we want contents copied from. No need to worry about differentiating between USB sticks we want clear and USB sticks we don’t. Any stick plugged into this machine should be downloaded. Example images attached.
