I need you to write a script or plugin for the Open Journal Systems (OJS) script. OJS is a content management system for scientific journals. I wont go into details of how the system works, you can read these at [login to view URL]
It has different types of users, including editors, section editors and reviewers. These are added through the OJS user interface. For example, reviewers are added by editors or section editors. The journal manager (administrator) can add any type of user. When adding a new user, certain information is required including first name, last name and email. User information is stored in a mySQL database.
What I want to do is to be able to add multiple users without going into the OJS webpage and adding each user manually. I want a script that will be able to directly access the OJS database and be able to add different types of users. So, perhaps it can be like a form with multiple rows and columns, where each row corresponds to a new user and the different parameters for each user (name, email, user class etc) are specific in the different columns.
Do you think this can be done with a standalone script or an OJS plugin?
Let me know your throughts and suggestions.
