Converter arquivo stl em solido

Olá, sou estudante de engenharia automotiva na UnB, gostaria de saber qual o nível de complexidade da peça, pois não tem como converter diretamente o stl para o solid, ele ficaria com as ramificações que são necessárias para uma impressão 3D e tornaria a edição dele inviável, porém com as dimensões é possível refaze-lo no Solid.
