This is a WordPress and WooCommerce project.
The concept here is that an admin or store manager could go to a new admin section in the WordPress admin where they would be presented with all the items in the store. They would be able to select products and variations (if applicable), and add items to a cart package. They will then be provided with an option to create a custom cart and checkout link with applicable discounts that they could email to a user for a single use - and the cart would be tied to the email address they send to. There should be a form where the admin could enter the email address to send to (email address to use for cart, and send to can be different or the same), and this should use the built-in WooCommerce email templates.
The person checking out would need to use that same email address to checkout on the frontend - the customer would not log into the WordPress admin.
I thought of the idea when I got an email a site I was shopping on, and I had called to ask if they had any unadvertised Black Friday specials running. A support person called me within five minutes and offered a 15 percent discount and free shipping only on specific products. He created a custom shopping cart, sent me a link to it via email and the deal was done. I was able to click the link, go directly to a cart and checkout.
We are thinking that the URL could be formatted as such:
exampleurl[dot]com/checkout/?custom_cart=&1 where "checkout" is the URL of the store's checkout page, email would be user's email that the link is being sent to (or who needs to buy the products), and the &1 is incremented just in case the same email is used many times.
We are hoping to complete this project fairly quickly.
