Automated Data Extraction Application

**Data Extraction Project** Create an application that is capable of running on Windows XP/Vista and independent (self extracting install- no manual registering of dll’s, etc). The application must be intuitive and easy to function. Application should be created for an end user, not a programmer. Application must be able to import an excel spreadsheet (excel 2003/2007) of SKU list for each appropriate manufacturer selected in application to extract and the application should extract the information as per the spec spreadsheet on required information, required if attributes exist, and optional information from either the manufacturer page or another website that has complete details on the actual product/sku (i.e Amazon, [login to view URL], pricegrabber, etc). Data can be extracted from multiple sites. When the data is extracted for the particular manufacturer, it will process the extracted information and create an export it in excel format as per the spec spreadsheet. **Additional Items to Extract:** Along with the extraction, the application must download the image of the product and the name of the image match the sku. Example: SKU= 123ABC and therefore, the image should be 123ABC.jpg. If there is a PDF installation sheet on the product page, this must be extracted to and be named as the SKU name. Example: SKU =123ABC and therefore, the product spec download should be 123ABC.pdf. **** Data must be clean and this must be a job that is done is complete detail. Coder will be awarded bonus as well at the end of the job if completion is perfect to spec. _Detail is a must!_** ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP/Vista Excel 2003/2007
