I need a current list of the top 500 contributors from [login to view URL], sorted by number of downloads. File should be in .csv format, and I only need the following fields: UserID, Username and Download count. If you can easily provide a script so I can do the scrape, that would be fine, or you can do the scrape and just provide results. To my knowledge, the first valid UserID with downloads is 200886 [login to view URL] An example scrape from the above link would look something like this: UserID: 200886 UserName: adstock Downloads: 10 The next user in the sequence would be 200887, then 200888, and so on. The upper UserID limit is somewhere around 6000000 Hopefully this is a simple task for someone with scripting and web scraping experience!

Hi, The project is fairly easy to code but we'll have to see some aspects considering the fact that the no. of pages to be scraped is very very high. I can provide you with a utility which will - 1. be multi threaded. You can specify the no of threads to be run in parallel. 2. Resume from where it was stopped last. 3. Hi! It's not quite a simple task to scrap 5.8 million pages, you need powerful server for this task, certain skills, and more important - to know how to use proxy efficiently (i believe without it they just would block scraper) and to use threading, of course if you don't want to wait a month for the statistic. Fortunately, I possess all that skills and could deliver you application within 5-6 hours after start and may be from several hours to day or so would need to scrap and show the results. BTW I wrote in ruby - it would be several time faster then PHP. And that program could be used any time you need to obtain a fresh statistics.
