CGI - Store variables then retrieve from id number

I have a CGI script that functions as follows: [login to view URL] What I'd like is instead of someone sending a visitor to my site with something like this: [login to view URL] They can send visitors with: [login to view URL] The a=1234 should be associated with variables in a database which can be called inside of [login to view URL] The variables would be a person's name & email address. Inside of [login to view URL] there is this code: input type="hidden" name="refer" value="$form{refer}" (The referrer's email address) And.. input type="hidden" name="rn" value="$form{rn}" (Where the person's first name is passed to the script) I'd like to be able to insert those variables from the database so no one has to pass their email address in the referral link any longer. People don't like doing this for various reasons. In other words, someone sends traffic to: [login to view URL] The person's name and email address associated with his unique id number is inserted into the form inside of [login to view URL] where refer (email address) and rn (first name) of the person are stored.
