I want to add a basic invoicing system to an existing open source WeBid auction website. This auction website code is identical to phpauction open source version (either version can be downloaded free of charge).
Project details:
Auctions are posted, withdrawn, won or lost by users. This data is currently stored in the MySQL database.
The object is to charge the sellers a fixed fee for posting the auction and another for gaining a sale. Other ebay style pricing options might be added later but are currently not essential.
Periodically, the admin invoicing system would be run to email out invoices to the sellers who would then pay the site owner using another payment system (this part is not required).
So the work would involve creating a new section for the admin such as a table of fees, a list of active sellers with current billing details and outstanding fees, a method to do a billing run, a way for the seller to see the status of their account, a way to record any fees paid (e.g. in a new MySQL database table).
In essence, this is very similar to the Affiliate Payment modules on a standard oscommerce webiste except that instead of paying out commission to the affiliate, the seller pays the store owner.
Modifying the oscommerce affilate payment scheme might be a good way forward.
Hello. this is an intereesting project which would be to be looked at carefully in order to give an acurate delivery period and price, but going on your brief on here i would say that I could get this done for you in 5days and for a £200 budget.
