Hello, I've plenty experience working with Asterisk and integrations with different platforms. I will develop the dialplan - or PHP AGI script - to query both databases. The script to query the external database could work with plain text responses, JSON or SOAP. The internal database webservice could provide a similar interface to the external webservice if required. A web application using CakePHP will be developed with a really nice graphic admin interface. The webapp will include both the CRUD interface but also statistics about the queries. I would suggest to query the local database first, in order to reduce the response time in case of a hit (number found in database). If the number is matched in the external database, that could be used to update the local database (with a time to live parameter) to cache the external database results and speed up future queries.
