Build script to backup mysql db

Th approach can be very simple. You should use ftp to transfer dbs and make the entry into cron-tab.

Hi You mention that you have no SSH access but do you have access to the ini files for MySQL? And are they hosted on Linux or Windows? I would consider setting up a proper realtime master/slave relationship between the two databases but you do need a certain level of access to the DB ini file. Also, can you connect in from the outside world via mysql client? If you can there's also the possibility of using a 3rd server to pull and push data every 30mins, being < 100MB this should be no problem; failing those then a PHP script will suffice. Final question, are the servers hosted in the same building or do they have a private network? Please advise.
