Collaborative Document Development Application

Doc Meister is an online application we have developed to support a team developing a document, for example a sales proposal, in a collaborative methodology where the contributors may be in different locations. Among other unique features, Doc Meister uses a backend MySQL database to store document components such that contributors may work on separate components simultaneously. We have fielded a commercial-grade version, but the programmer is too overloaded to address the enhancement requests and bug fixes. We have a half dozen backlogged tasks with a combined estimate of 20 hours related to Doc Meister such as the following: 1) Build a PDF export of the assembled html document. 2) Provide a custom sort for the document components beyond an alphabetical table of contents. 3) Integrate an HTML textarea editing and formating tool. 4) Automate a document element check-out and check-in process, including a Workflow Table showing where each document element is (and was). The original Functional Description for Doc Meister is at [login to view URL], but several features have changed since then. Skillsets we require are at least 1 year of PHP programming. Desirable skillsets include PHP-to-PDF and PHP-to-MSWord exporting, textarea editors, and HTML formating options. After we receive credentials and examples of relevant work (required), we will provide the successful candidates with the detailed task descriptions, at which point they may accept or refuse the project. The Project Manager is fluent in English and Hungarian, and can get by in Spanish, German, and French. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
