Convert Firefox extension to Safari

I have a Firefox extension that needs to be ported (converted) to Safari, for both Mac OS X and iPhone. The extension consists of about 1200 lines of javascript code. The javascript code in the extension is very generic. We have ported the extension to IE (on Windows), and are using the same javascript file in both the Firefox and IE versions. The places in the javascript code that have browser-dependent behavior are in code constructs that look like: if (isIE) { do IE thing; } else if (isFF) { do FF thing; } For the Safari version, we want to modify the javascript file so that the same file will work on Firefox, IE and Safari. So part of the job is to refactor the javascript code in places where the Safari behavior differs from Firefoxand IE. Also, the Firefox extension uses Firefox's built-in installation and auto-update features. And it uses Firefox's preferences system. The Safari version will need these features as well. If these features are not built in to Safari, then you will need to figure out how to implement them. You will deliver: all of the source code, plus instructions on how to build the Safari extension. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform This Safari extension must work on Safari versions 419.3, 522.1 and 523.1. It must work on OS X (10.4 and 10.5) and on the iPhone.
