CENTENARY CELEBRATING SITE

**web site for the centenary celebration of the Zoo of Rome** I want to build a site easy to use for the community of the zoo friends, able to catch their interests about the story and the evolution of the zoo and also able to make them partecipate as much as possible trough the website itself. The visual of the celebration year is already done I'm asking your partecipation cause I want to realize something new (at least in Italy) and if possible using all the possible connections with already existing web 2.0 applications and social networks communities as the GOOGLE's like Picasa, google docs, google chat, etc. ## Deliverables The site will have: main page with a video that shows the visual in a dynamic way, editing together also new picts of the zoo and ancient images and video (all the materials will be given by us) inner pages of: ? History - picts, videos, texts ? Stories - collection of documents (google docs "embedded into the site"?) and stories written by important authors and also by the community. it may be interesting to have here some suggestions about how to use already existing applications as google, to share docs, have it rated and have stats on it. could be an idea to have then the chance to use that stories (the top rated ones) also into the main zoo site or into the park itself (using QR) ? Testimonials - small "blog" pages edited by authorized writers ? projects - simple cms based section where to publish projects description sheet of past and future projects inner implementation of: ? picture contest this is really important cause we will ask to all the zoo friends to send through the site their ANCIENT picts of the zoo and I need an application that can give me the chance to have at the end of the year one or more winners, decided by the community itself. So i was thinking about the chance to integrate exisiting community or pict/rating as picasa (i don't know if it's possible to rate with) or FLICKR. we need also to manage the database and allow subscribers to:subscribe to the main site ([login to view URL]) and after becoming a bioparco friend he can post a pict, write the specs, share it into social networks, rate other picts, ask friend to rate his own picts, etc... ? Video contest same thing of above. AL THE IDEAS connected to a potential Viral Marketing and proposals of using existing netcommunities are more then welcomed!! in general the goal of this centenary site is to spread at the maximum level the voice about the ROME ZOO and start building a different way of marketing and cmmunication: people who love animals, who love rome and that have a good opinion of the hard work of the Bioparco must have the chance to talk about it and the best result is that the zoo won't have the need of talk about himself, but people will do it with joy, partecipating also to the zoo life. We must consider that for every idea we will have also the chance to pass from the WEB communication into the "LAND" communication into the zoo, using billboard, messages on the park in general. TECHNICAL REQUEST: i really would like to integrate existing structures of community and web social networks all the other necessary implementation that need to be done as original, must be done in PHP/AJAX/MYSQL i don't want flash we need to take the best advantage from the viral marketing
