A funded startup in SIlicon Valley, California with solid revenue model is looking for a very experienced, "star" web developer who can help us build our web application that combines finance, investment and social networking capabilities. We prefer candidates from Ukraine as we already have a small distributed team there. We are looking for someone to fill a team lead role, yet staying hands on and be a technical expert authority for more junior team members ( 90% developer - 10% scrum master ) Successful candidate needs to be be proficient in the following: - PHP, Yii Framework and advanced JavaScript - Comfortable with JQuery, AJAX, Comet - MySQL - experienced with Web services ( RESTful and SOAP ) - Experienced with video streaming - Understand internet security - Understand web app performance tuning best practices - Capable of defining and deploying a highly scalable application environment - Expert on high availability and failover, backup and recovery - Knowledgeable of test automation approach and tools like Selenium or similar and continuous integration. - Good written and reasonable spoken English ( some of us speak Russian so don't quit on this one, you may do just fine ) Bonus skills: Building apps for social networks, specifically LinkedIn or be comfortable to pick up quickly. Experience with other similar frameworks like RoR and Django and Java/Sprint is a plus.
