We have an existing business designer that you can access on this site: http://www.surfprint.com. On the website, click on the 'Get Started' button, then choose to edit one of the designs. This takes you to a Flex-based web app where you edit your business card design. You can add images, add/edit text boxes, rotate items, add shapes etc. Once you are ready you then add it to the shopping cart. Behind the scenes, a text file is available to our administration staff which contains all the necessary information about the card design (positions of text, images etc). To bring the app up to current standards we would like to re-do this in HTML5 (or whatever technology you feel is appropriate), but certainly away from a flash file that does not work on iPad etc. The project does not need to include the shopping cart and other web pages, just the web app itself. The web app will receive the ID of the template then populate the items onto the canvas for the user to edit. Please review all the functionality within the existing app before submitting for this project so you are fully aware of everything that is required.
