We sell canvas prints in a variety of sizes and different numbers of panels etc. a) We have an established catalogue of images, all named and categorised with a short description. Each of these images can be made in many different sizes and ratios and numbers of panels, according to what the customer wants. For this we already have pre generated graphics of each image in many different configurations – which we can use instead of the customer cropping it themselves (to be discussed) b) The website must have a photo-to-canvas section where customers can upload their images, and then crop/rotate/scale their images and choose the size/number of panels. The backend here must also be easy, so that our graphic designers know how to crop the image etc. We like the ordering system used in canvasdezign and we would want to use a similar system, but with a few additions/changes. Therefore the project winner will have to be good with flash. Website should have twitter and facebook and other social network/media integration (or at least prominent links as per canvasdezign) and should have content rich areas (such as the ‘i’ page under the yellow link in canvasdezign) and places to display promotions/offers/competitions. The design must be clean, modern, catchy and stylish. We do not want an exact copy of any of the above sites, or a template that will not be search engine friendly. We don’t mind something similar but would like to pick the best bits of each. Search engine friendliness and an ability to rank highly is of KEY IMPORTANCE. We are aiming to have this site ranked on page 1 for the keyword ‘canvas prints’ and 3-4 others which are to be decided. Please note that the optimisation element is not part of this project, but the search engine friendliness of the site will need to be kept in mind during the design stage. If you are confident you can design the site and also get it ranked on the first page of Google, then please say so in your bid and demonstrate your SEO success. The web design process will need to be open with plenty of communication and the designer will need to be open to making small tweaks during the design process if needed according to our feedback.
