Digital Signage

I am looking at a customized application for a networked digital signage prodoct. The Application would include * a video playback of multiple files (10 seconds to 10 minutes each) in a contineus flow, each file has to run at a specific time of the day. * overlaping layers on this video playback, showing graphics (such as logo, themes, etc), specify duration on screen, location on screen * a seperate application would be there at the server end to create this playlist & specify the selection & insertion of varius logos, graphic themes, messages, etc. * create logs for all played files & files scheduled but not played. * connecting to the server & retriving daily playlists & new files required for playback. * recieve text messages through the net & display them while the video playback is paused. * transition effects beteween the playback of 2 files * system to switch on-off at specified times * system to restart in case of power faileure & resume playback in case of power failure. * Other details to follow ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The OS for this system would be either Linux, winCE or winXPE, in this order of preference. It really dose not matter what OS is used since we have to start from scratch & since the number of units would be in dorzens, the cost of the OS & the solid state disk cost would be an issue.
