I need a DLL written in C# / managed code to make a telnet connection, gather xml that is constantly being output to the screen and send the xml to a webservice.
I already have code in C# 2.0 (.Net 2.0 Beta) that compiles to an exe, makes the telnet connection, parses the text into individual xml blocks and sends it to a web service.
I need something better.
I want to run it in a webfarm environment that has restrictive policies on what can run but will allow managed code DLLs to be registered.
It will need multithreading support for error recovery, allow some type of webpage interface so it can be monitored/started/stopped remotely, the ability to cycle thru severl ip/login combos when one is not available, ability to send data to potentially more than one ip address and possibly email an admin if something is very wrong.
It needs to be built in such a way to have maximum uptime.
Perhaps running inside a wrapper that will restart it when ever an error occurs.
