Hi. I've developed scalable J2EE applications, running on sharded PostgreSQL servers with Hibernate's second level cache and also memcached for improved response times, and to ease DB load. I've also developed a bitcoin exchange, for which I considered security carefully. I run a two-factor auth web service on AWS. I also did Coursera's Cryptography 1 course earlier this year (to ensure my exchange was impenetrable), so I understand security better than anyone. Your servers will be unbreakable. I was once involved in developing a benchmark for EC2's IO performance where I learned to automate anything I wanted to with their API. I used Glassfish on one six-month contract in London, so I know it well. I've used MySQL for a year, but I've never had to really tune it. I know how to tune PostgreSQL, watch its statistics tables, and optimise J2EE to not bring the database to a grinding halt. The principles will transfer over. I know how to configure SSL to only use ciphers with no vulnerabilities. I know of VPCs, but have never set them up. I ran Openswan (IPsec) VPN once. I'll be able to set up VPCs and VPNs. I've used and configured software and hardware proxies, and have experimented with HAProxy. I'll be able to set that up as well. I once sped up a company's mature Java/MySQL app by 250x. I'm interested in this job specifically because I enjoy optimising things. Thanks for reading, Vibhu
