We are currently designing a Bluetooth LE module that will require a mobile application to control the device. The application will require the following:
Discover any and all BT devices.
- Create a list of BT devices
- Show device type and possible friendly name so the user can see what is available and make a selection
Connect to the BT device of choice
- To ensure that the correct device is chosen, flash an LED on the device
Allow the user to configure the BT device
- Friendly name,
- User values associated with output values
Control the output of the BT device
- Configurable Sine wave output
- Configurable Step Output
- Configurable Triangle wave output
- Configurable Dial control (user output)
- Configurations for each type of output above
The device will initially output a 4-20ma, 0-20ma, and 0-5V signal
Initially the software will only need to support this module. However, the software should be designed to allow for the addition of other types of modules and the control of more than one module simultaneously.
We are looking for someone with expertise in designing the interface and underlying code in this type of application.
The original application needs to work on iphones and Ipads, but it will eventually be ported to other mobile platforms.
This will be a long term relationship if the right fit is found on this pilot project.
To help further with the design and development:
The chipset we will be using for the Bluetooth device is from TI.
Software is available from TI to support the chipset on an IOS device

We will be duplicating all of the functions from the sensortag app. (including firmware updates to the device, etc)
There is a requirement to brand the software with our company logo etc.
The basic app will be free with the ability to purchase additional modules for other functionality.
The control of the device needs to be accomplished with a slider or wheel.
Take a look at the Thomas Grubers Function Generator app and the various light control apps for good ideas on layout and function.
To be considered for this project, you will need to show examples of your work that demonstrate the basic functionality I'm looking for. This includes both demonstrations and samples of example source code.
A scoping document will also be required prior to commencing the work.
