I have radio streaming app (icecast) with a few stations. Access to stations is login protected. There is .htpasswd authorisation on Icecast server. All stations have this same common credentials. You are logged to all stations if you was logged to one.
There is a popup with login implemented to this app. User logs to one of the streams directly before use players. He can use any station's player next. Its work propertly on Android 4.1 to 5.0. There is problem on Android 5.1. I can open url and login in Firefox but no in my app. Login is incorrect. You can see error :"Username and password doesn't matched", but its really matched.
As I see in debbuger there is error: "[login to view URL]: android_getaddrinfo failed: EAI_NONAME (hostname nor servname provided, or not ". Its possible that it should use AsyncTask or similar to perform the network request.
I'm sending in attachment [login to view URL] include login activity.
Additionaly there is link to the full app source: [login to view URL]
Test login:ziutek password: fiutek
I need fix is ASAP.
Hey there,
I've resolved the issue. The MediaPlayer is now successfully streaming the audio file on Android 5.1 devices.
I can send you the updated APK to let you see for yourself.
With many thanks,
Alex

Please contact support. (Error: You are no longer able to message this user)" so couldn't contact to due to this message
Thanks
Hi, mate!
I have already downloaded the source and made the fix.
I can confirm that the fix is working in the Android Emulator with Lollipop 5.1
I also tried before that and indeed it didn't accept the credentials.
I have also tried the fixed app on a real device, with Android 4.1. It is working stable.
Contact me to further explain some points.
